Professional support
Exploring U.S. Property From Nigeria? Start With the Right Support.
No professional is listed on this page yet. Read what each role does, tell us what you need, and we will come back to you about what is actually available.
A U.S. purchase from another country is not one transaction with one adviser. It is a sequence: research the property, understand what you are allowed to do with it, arrange the money, verify what you are buying, then keep it compliant and managed. Different parts of that sequence need different specialists — and usually not all of them.
This page explains who does what, in plain language. It names roles, not people: we have not approved any professional for listing yet, so none is shown. If you are new to buying U.S. property from abroad, the general orientation here is a useful starting point: U.S. property ownership for Nigerians: how the process actually differs.
Who does what
The specialists a U.S. property purchase can involve
These are categories of professional, not LXVentures services and not a list of partners. We do not provide any of them, we do not vouch for any individual or firm, and nothing below is a recommendation.
Real estate agents and brokers
Licensed professionals who list and sell properties, show comparable sales, and guide you through offers and negotiations. They are licensed by the state they practise in, and they can act for the seller or for you — the two are not the same thing, and you should know which one you are talking to.
Real estate attorneys
Attorneys who handle the legal side of a property transaction: contracts, deed and title questions, how to take title, and disputes if they arise. In Texas a title company usually runs the closing itself, so an attorney is engaged for specific legal work rather than every purchase. Whether you need one, and for what, is a legal question and only an attorney can answer it.
Mortgage professionals
Lenders, mortgage brokers and loan officers who arrange financing and set out what a borrower who lives outside the United States has to document. Their rules, rates and eligibility conditions vary by lender and by how the purchase is structured, so the terms that apply to you come from them, in writing.
Land surveyors
Licensed surveyors who measure the land, locate the boundaries on the ground and produce a survey drawing of what you are actually buying. A survey is how a fence line, an easement, an encroachment or an access question gets an answer on the ground rather than an answer that is only on a map.
Property inspectors
Inspectors who examine a dwelling's structure, systems and condition and give you a written report of what they found. On vacant land there is usually no building to inspect — there the equivalent findings come from a survey, environmental searches and the utility and access checks.
Property managers
Managers who handle tenants, rent collection, repairs and local compliance when you own a rental from another country. They work under a management agreement that says what they may decide and what they may spend on your behalf, so that agreement is worth reading closely.
CPAs and tax professionals
Accountants and tax professionals who advise on how U.S. property income, property taxes, and a later sale are treated for someone who lives outside the country, and which filings go with it. The answer depends on your own circumstances — get it from a qualified professional and not from a website, including this one.
No name, firm, licence number, testimonial or logo appears on this page. LXVentures has not approved any professional for listing, and this page will not display one until the checks described in our review process are complete and the professional has approved exactly what would be published.
For buyers
Tell us what help you need
Tick the categories you think you need — or the last option if you are not sure yet, which is a very common answer. Nothing here commits you to anything and nothing is passed to a professional without your knowledge: LXVentures reviews the inquiry first and comes back to you about possible next steps.
For professionals
Interested in Supporting International Property Buyers?
If you are a licensed or regulated professional who can help a buyer purchasing U.S. property from another country — or you are willing to take that work on — tell us about your practice. Applications are read by the LXVentures team, stored privately, and applying does not guarantee inclusion.
Express Interest in Our Professional NetworkHow review works. An application stays private until a person on our team checks your own official licence or registration source. If it is a fit, we ask you to approve the exact wording and fields that would be published — and only then does a profile appear on this page, with a link to that official source and the date it was last checked.
What LXVentures does — and what it does not
LXVentures provides property research, education and coordination. Legal, tax, brokerage, lending, surveying and inspection services are provided separately by appropriately qualified professionals.
Every inquiry you send here is reviewed by LXVentures first. We do not forward your details to any professional without telling you, we take no fee for making an introduction, and we make no promise about who is available or how quickly.
If what you need is research rather than a specialist, that is what we do: see how LXVentures researches a property.
